Have just bought an ivory 1930s GPO Bakelite phone, and there are a couple of cracks. The previous owner has obviously tried to repair with some glue but it has discoloured and looks grey and flaky.
Any idea how to remove the glue and repair? I would imagine that some glue removing solvents may burn away at the Bakelite - but I could be wrong.
Also, what product should I use to clean and polish ivory Bakelite?
Thanks for any advice,
BB
