I have a 6 year old Grant Vortex running in an open vented system. I seen to be getting through around 1 raduator of fluid each day, based on the amount of air I bleed out.
There are no obvious signs of leaks. A couple of the 20mm pipes run though concrete (old 60's bungalow) so that's a possibility, although i thought I'd still see signs.
I can't see anything being ejected from the tank overflow, so can't work out where the fluid is going other than maybe out of the condensate pipe or exhaust.
One thing I've noticed is that the air that comes out of the rads when i bleed smells exactly like the condensate fluid... quite a sharp smell. However, my 5L inhibitor smells soft like laundey conditioner. Is this a clue?
Many thanks
