Cracks around doors and windows

Hello,
Moved into a new house and there are some cracks around the windows, the glass door leading to the back porch and the front door.
What is the best way to fill these gaps? I was going to buy some decorators caulk, because the polyfiller that I have should probably only be used small holes left by a nail or screw. Or is there a better sealant, especially for the external door?

For long gaps round edges, paintable decorators caulk is a much better choice than filler.
