Hi,
The pipes to the radiators in my living room are cased in (I think) wooden boxing or similar. When I moved into the house the casing was cracked due to the heat from the pipes.
I sanded the casing down, filled with ordinary filler and painted with my usual paint - Glidden Trade Matt.
Since I've had the heating on the cracks have just reappeared - who would have thought!?
Is there anything I can do to prevent this? I don't want to replace the casing.
Should I use flexible filler or are there any paints that would withstand the heat better? Or is it just one of those things you have to live with?
Thanks very much.
