Cracks in walls

Hello,

I have recently patched up and painted a room only to find several foot long cracks which start from the window corners have reappeared just 2 days later. I removed about 1 cm thickness of plaster before re-plastering the cracked areas before painting.

My question is do i need this wall professionally replastered to avoid the cracks coming back? Im thinking that there must be movement int he walls for the cracks to re-appear so quickly so will plastering even fix the issue?

Hack off the plaster to see if the crack is in the brickwork beneath and check outside as well, if theres cracks in both ( look in the mortar courses outside)
If there is you probably need a professional to come in and check whats happening.
