Over the last month we’ve seen cracks developing horizontally along the walls internally and externally.
The cracks seem to be running from the corner of the door into the garden and the window on the adjoining wall.
The cracks on the outside don’t mirror exactly the cracks on the inside but are running horizontally in similar places.
One crack on the outside has opened to about 5mm butball of the other’s inside and out are hairline cracks.
We have been doing some building work internally, nothing structural but a lot o wall chasing to re-run cables and electric. Plus also the weather has been unusually hot. The property was built in the 60’s but we did have it re-plastered about 18 months ago. At that time there were a lot of similar cracks.
Do you think this is just a combination of weather and work in the house, or does it’s sound more serious?
Thanks.
