I'm looking to lock a large wooden farm gate but because it doesn't sit flush/inline with the gate post (instead it partly closes against one edge) I need a cranked lockable bolt for it: I plan to fit the bolt to the squared off, 8 inch diameter gate post and drill a hole in the gate to take the bolt. Note: I don't want to use a standard straight bolt because the hole I drill will be too close to the edge of the gate's upright so will likely split over time, instead with a cranked bolt I can drill the hole about an inch or so from the edge.
To give an example of what I mean by cranked, I mean with an angle at the end of the bolt, like this:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Garden-Cranked-Necked-Tower-Barrel/dp/B08WWR49GK/
or this:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Solid-Brass-Necked-Barrel-Bolt/dp/B00O0OC5J6/
but despite much googling I can't seem to find one that will take a padlock. So it needs to be like the following but cranked:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Brenton-Sliding-Lockable-Padbolt-Outhouse/dp/B071F6RPQK
Any ideas please?
