I ordered a ceiling fan/light, it said guaranteed 5 day delivery, paid, and it was despatched. It got as far as what I guessed was the China hub, then the tracking suggested it was yanked back to the seller, without any explanation. I got a refund yesterday, and so ordered another.

The newly ordered one, suggested guaranteed 7 day delivery, except after ordering it said despatches in 11 days

How can they deliver in 7 days, if they will not be despatching for 11 days?

Despite the 'despatches in 11 days', I just received an email suggesting it has now been sent, but so far lacking any tracking information. I wonder if this one might be delivered - prace your bets.

That has not been my experience. They are just a sort of clearing house, for many small Chinese, large and small manufacturers.

Yep. Surprised HB put his trust in a company with a name like that. I also always check the names of business owners when buying on Ebay. Those from a certain group won't be seeing my custom.

I have only used them a couple of times. The first time I wanted Vessel Japanese Industrial Screw bits. I could not find anyone in the UK that sold what I wanted. From memory, I paid about £18 for a set. Japanese quality, 3 weeks delivery. I have also used it purchase 100 nozzles for caulking guns- that was less than a tenner incl. delivery. Took about 6 weeks from China.

Granted, only two purchases, but I would be confident to use them again.

AFAIK they are part of the Alibaba Group, who specialise in acting as agents to sell shipping container loads of products to western firms. Their business is massive. They would not want their reputation to be tarnished.

I've used them a few times before, with no problems, other than the long delivery times. They used to be quite a bit cheaper, than buying the identical item, from a genuine UK seller, if you don't mind the wait.

My second order had a similar fate, so I contacted Aliexpress, to ask them to investigate - their reply was that the seller failed to ship in time, despite the tracking showing them to have been shipped (?). I asked if there was any point in ordering a third time, they said they would pay my third order close attention, and give the seller a prod, so I placed a third order. They can't help themselves. They've been taught to be like that from an early age.

In all my travels, and within my friends and family, (of about 3 or 4 ethnicities and maybe 5 or 6 nationalities) I've always received help, patience and understanding whenever I attempt to use any of their words, saying or phrases.
I'd like to see any of the jokers try to use some phrases in other languages. Some of them have difficulty in English.
How about dinner is ready in Javanese: "nedha bengi wis siyap"
Or how about in colloquial Vietnamese: "ăn cơm"
Or Cambodian: "Nyum bai" (Although it's not written like that)
They wouldn't be ridiculed if they made mistakes.
