Creaking expanding polycarbonate roof

Hi Guys i was wondering if anyone can suggest a fix for my problem...My lean to conservatory is approx 5.5 Mtrs long x 3 Mtrs wide..using 25mm polycarbonate..Due to thermal expanson/contraction, it makes a terrible noise...Short of removing the roof and lubing with Vaseline , is there any way of lubing it in situ ? I've tried squirting WD 40 into the seals and Silicone spray Which seemed to make it worse...Any ideas greatly appreciated as it's doing me head in.....Bill

Its quite normal for pollycarb sheets to make noises due to expansion/contracion as is other plastic products,gutterings,downpipes etc.There is nothing you can do about it.

I understand that, but i thought if i lube the seals then it would move more freely on them, and reduce the sudden noises when it expands..What do you think ?

Are we talking about loud cracking noises? perhaps the fitters didnt leave the apprpriate 5 mm gap along the sheets.

The bars are gonna be well tight against the poly, you won't be able to lube them very well.

Have you heard about the polycarb solar inserts? they go in the top chamber and reduces the sun entering the poly, it may help the cracking (and it looks nice too)
