Creaky wooden floor boards

Hello, Our house has wooden floor boards in the sitting room, as far as I can tell these are laid on top of a solid (concrete?) floor. The boards are 134mm wide and appeared to be tongued and grooved, the boards have bowed across their width and in places are very creaky when you walk on them. There are no nails, screws or any sign of any sort of fitments, so nothing to nail or screw down to help stop the creaking.
I was thinking of sanding the floor and re-treating but wanted to stop the creaking first but can see no way of doing this?

It would seem that the floor, when it was laid, had little arrangement made for its expansion - although expecting a T&G floor to remain flat when floating is expecting a bit too much!
Before you do anything......can you be sure that the concrete is completely dry beneath the floorboards? If you can lift one or two, just be alert for any musty smells.

A classic (albeit temporary) solution to creaky boards is to rub talcum powder into the gaps!
