Create a garden storage area

Hi, I would like to turn this space into a shed to gain some more storage space.

What do you think would be the best way to do this ?

The other side of the fence is a neighbour's driveway. Any ideas greatly appreciated !

I'd build a shed to fit the space (well with a flat not a pointy back) and slide it back into position. I did something similar a while back, when I knew I'd not be able to access the sides to do the roof so it had to be roofed before sliding into its final position.

not a bad idea to make it removable.
don't forget roof drainage.

Yes, I think we own the fence. Not 100% sure on that though.

How would you go about building the shed ? Buy a flat packed one and adapt it or build from scratch ?

Normally the "pretty side" of a fence faces out from your property. You have the arris rails on your side

Personally I' d build from scratch as it is a weird shape and you'd have to throw half a ready built shed away.

You could just build a roof over the area, and a set of gates at the front, or build a more substantial "plug in" triangular building .

the first thing i would do is run it past your neigbour to find out iff a 50mm overhang and a roof draining onto his land or a gutter overhanging his side but draining your side will upset him as your not allowed to drain onto or cross onto his land without his permission preferably in writing
when you have this information you can plan what you do
also iff its not your fence as said you cannot touch or attach to it without permission

Ok thanks. So if the fence is mine & my neighbour doesn't mind the overhang, I could potentially use the fence panels as a wall and build some type of roof across the space and put a gate on it. Or build a shed to put it in the space. What do you think would look better ?

yes an option but as i say find out first
and keep in mind your roof will climb higher up the house wall the further forward you come to keep it level on the fence
or higher on the fence side the further you go back to keep it level against the house
i personally would think about a back wall with an access panel about 25% distance from the point perhaps set up to a 8ft/2440mm board length

are your messurements accurate that picture looks 2 fence panels long at nearly 3.7m ??
