Have a Creda gas hob and the ignition doesn't work when the button is pressed. There is no 'clicking' at all or spark. Just changed the ignition unit but no luck. Any ideas what it could be? Model No. is 42347.
Sorry you did not say in your first post that you had an electrical connection, as you say that is what will power the ignition. If you have replaced the ignition unit then it can only be the connections to the ignitors or the return path(earth),do you have a means of testing continuity & can you physically see the wires to the ignitors? Do not mean to insult your intelligence, but I presume the supply is ok, have you checked the fuse in the plug or fcu?
