Crimp joining cables

Hi,

I need to join two bits of 2.5 T+E in a plastic box, inside the house.

I have the blue insulated butt crimps. Do these need to have heat shrink over them once crimped, or are they fine as is?

No need to heat shrink/sleeve if the joint is enclosed in an insulating box.

Yes, but as it is not double insulated you will need to ensure the metal box is earthed.
