I have an old gas pipe that is still sitting next to a new gas pipe. My last plumber showed me that the main bonding was attached to the old pipe and not the new one. I have now switched the bonding over.

The old pipe goes off under the house in a different direction and I don't know where. Should I cross bond the old and new pipes with 4mm2 to be safe, in case that pipe is being used for bonding somewhere else, or is that not likely?

Paul.

Great, thanks for the guidance. 10mm2 is already in use for the main bonding now, so I'll bond to the old one and move on :)

Short answer (there are caveats) is main bond it in 10.00mm
