We have just laid a sand & cement floor screed with fibers.
The problem we have got is that the householder has had the heating on like a greenhouse over the weekend that has dried the moisture out of the top 10mm of screed, even though we covered it with dpm, this has now crumbled away.
Are we ok to remove loose material, pva floor then pour self leveler over floor to make up?
Many thanks

It is unusual for screed that has been 'compressed' by the normal workings of floating and trowelling to become friable.

The most i would expect from rapid drying is for the screed to develop shrinkage cracks.

I would question the integrity of the screed mix.
