Hi all,
i am reaching out again - looking for a general view on whether this is very bad, bad or simply something to fix.
Knowing very little about house and bricks, i have noticed a burgeoning and cracked piece of paint on the side of one external door, i have opened it a bit and found very friable brick. (i would assume this is brick?)
this is on a terraced victorian house.
How should i go on about fixing it? Is is it a matter of removing the brick(or what s left of it?) , plastering on top and repaint, fix it with some weatherproof prepared mix?
i will reach out to an handyman probably but would like to avoid being conned into doing something that might not be necessary, would not be good for the house.
Thank you for your help!
