Hi,

I have some slow close hinges with a damper clipped on.

(see pic)

How do I get the cover off? Everything I try seems to lift the hinge up as well

Also, is there anything I can put on the door side to strengthen the hinge as I’ve already had to repair three threaded screw holes and they are only 6 months old the units.

TIA

Aren’t they adjustable? Is it done with the screw on top?
There is a product called a Hinge repair plate which may help depending what the fault is.

i have just googled it and it appears the hinge cover just snaps in place. Appears you need to prize the cover over the edge of the hinge. The two slots in your picture allow the hinge to locate in them

The screws for the hinge are under the cap you can see with the dampener

Yeah I can’t seem to find an opening to prize it off without the hinge coming with it
