Looking for some decorative advice...
We have a window with a recess - approximately h 203 x w 135 x d 18 cms.
There is currently a roll down blind. However whenever the window is open we cannot keep the blind closed. The draft causes the blind to rattle.
We are considering putting up a set of curtains.
1) Would it look okay to install the curtain within the recess? For example putting up a rod within the recess, and then hanging a single eyelet curtain?
The curtain brochures tend to show the curtains overhanging the recess.
2) When shopping for curtains, what width do we require? A 145 width curtain - does this account for the pleats? Is this curtain actually narrower due to how it would be hung?
3) We also have a net lace curtain hanging within the recess attached to a extending rail (ie not screwed or bolted in). Would something similar support some light weight curtains?
