First time posting, we are self building a large extension with a cut roof with a warm deck. All's well, however I have been following the structural engineers drawings and where the two roof lines meet it has been specified to use a lay board which creates a valley.
My question is, how ,do I line up the two roofs when the lay board gives me extra height of 38mm on one side where the jack rafters sit on the lay board. Am I overthinking this and missing something?
