I've just started tiling my bathroom with 6mm ceramic tiles. I soon discovered that the cheap manual cutter which worked fine for my thinner kitchen tiles is no good for these tiles.
I can score the tiles ok but then however much pressure I apply they just won't snap. I've done a few cuts with an angle grinder but the quality of cut isn't great.
I really don't want to use an electric water cutter if I can avoid it. I've used one before and it was a very noisy and messy process.
Is there a manual cutter that will cope with cutting 6mm ceramics.

6mm ceramic tiles are thin and basic tiles, compared with 10mm porcelain for example.

A score and snap cutter should do the job fine.

Check your current cutting wheel. Maybe you need a new one? Or consider getting a more professional grade score and snap cutter

Sorry my mistake, the tiles are porcelain not ceramic

I resorted to my circular saw in the end. It's a longer process than using a manual cutter on account of having to go outside to do each cut, not to mention annoying the neighbours but a professional manual tile cutter is way too expensive for a one time use.
The cuts are OK but not as sharp as wheel cutter
