Hello all,
I've got a room with a trapdoor that leads to the basement, trouble is the carpet's been layed over the trapdoor without having been cut so access has been blocked off.
Would it be possible to cut the carpet and underlay then glue it to the top of the trapdoor, or is this something that needs to be done at the time of fitting? I don't have any offcuts of the carpet so I'm thinking if the cut gets botched up I'll have to get the room recarpetted.
Any advice appreciated.
