Cutting close to edge of small tile

Is it possible to cut a 15mm width off a 45mm square tile, about 10mm thick? I have a plasplugs diamond cutter but I'm not sure if it is practical to cut such a small width without breaking it.
Unfortunately I have been left with the gap to fill by another tiler, who has now absconded.

If the blades fairly new an you go slowly then it should be possible,try it on a few off cuts first

It's always best to avoid such small gaps,this can be planned for during the setting out stage.

Is this a different tiler to the one mentioned in the other post?

No, it's the same guy. I'm afraid I am using this forum as a kind of therapy to get it all off my chest.
I look forward to a morning of removing silicone, grout and tiles.
