Hi,

I want to install a pedestal basin, but there is currently no plumbing (apparantly the previous owner didn\\\'t need a sink!). I can run the water supplies from the adjacent bath supply, but I want to know if it\\\'s possible to cut into the existing bath waste pipe and use this, or would I have to install a new one?

Thanks

WOuldn't normally present a problem, apart from access issues.

Access isn't a problem as the waste pipe is clipped to the skirting in the area I want to install the sink. I presume I can get an anti-syphon trap from Wickes or B&Q?

yes you can, some weeks !

But don't do it, strike up a relationship with your local independent plumbing merchant, the advice they can offer will be worth it, plus they offer good stuff at good prices and best of all a good shop will have a comprehensive stock of bits.
