Hi,

Looking for tips/advice on the above topic.

Currently fitting my new kitchen, on the one run of base units SWMBO wanted them to finish with a 300mm curved unit an door, no real problems with that as it does look quite smart.

My dilema thats niggling at me is when the curve is routed, I will have a square routed edge meeting the postformed curve of the laminate worktop, personally speaking I dont think it will look very good.

The worktops are Axiom and dark in colour (Midnight Stone)

Are there any work-arounds/tips for this problem?

Cheers for any help

I'm facing a similar dilemma, only this time I have a breakfast bar with a squared end and post formed edges.

I'm considered routing a radius and then applying the stick-on edge strip - obviously where the routed curve intersects the postformed edge I'd have 2 curves intersecting, but I'm hoping that careful trimming of the edge strip might yield a smart enough result.

The alternative I'm considering is a metal end-cap (I have access to fabricators skilled in this sort of custom metalwork) this would be bent at the ends with the same radius, and with some careful measurement the edge profile could also be worked out.

I'm quite willing to listen to other ideas from more experienced individuals though..

Or use solid wood worktops. Perhaps consider Corian or similar which can be made to your requirements.
