Cutting Satellite cables

Can existing satellite cables such as the one shown in the picture be cut to your desired length and the connector refitted without causing any problem to your satellite signal?

the reason i ask is because one of the two cables that come in from my sky dish is massivley longer than the other which leaves a load of cable that i cant neatly tidy up and hide.
i was thinking i would cut it back to the length of the shorter cable so everything is nive and neat and equal.

Just want to make sure i dont cut off my sky singal before doing so!

Yes, indeed. As it's a twist-on 'F' plug you can simply twist it off, cut the cable and refit the plug according to the instructions here:
