Hi all,
I have a hood that can be used in recirculating or exhaust modes. When it was fitted for the previous owner, it was installed so that it could only be used to recirculate, i.e. no exhaust ducting was fitted. I've had a vent tile fitted on the roof and now need to run the ducting from the extractor to this. It's a fairly easy run through the loft as its a bungalow.
The only problem I have is the tiling. As you can see in the two pictures, there is a tile directly above the hood. I need to cut a section out of this to run the duct through. The cut doesn't need to be particularly neat as its hidden by the hood, so I'm trying to find the cheapest way to do it.
I've looked at hiring an angle grinder and also buying a core drill bit from drill365, but both options are going to cost me about £65. Is there a simpler, cheaper way to achieve it?
Thanks
