cycle on will not start on a hotpoint wf451p

problems with a cycle on a hotpoint wf451p....
turn the machine from the mains and then on from the machine....
turn in to spin the door locks but the light does not light up to say the door is locked... and nothing happens .... any thoughts..

i have seen how you have helped a lot of people....
it turned out to be a loose wire , somewhere in the mother board....
