if your element is what i'd call a paralel type mounted on the front left side lying up left side and across the rear, then to access the nut which secures it you must remove the plinth from below the door and behind that remove any remaining panels. unclipping the plinth can be a bit tricky but persevere with it and you'll be fine. i'm curious as to how you know the element is faulty if you can't access the terminals to megga it. or is it physically damaged?
