Your expert advice would be much appreciated.
I have an external, chimney mounted 4 element FM aerial. The chimney is about to be demolished, so I will be replacing with a wall mounted pole.

I would like to update to DAB, and still receive FM, but I need to stick to just the one down lead. (it would be almost impossible to run another)
I understand that a half wave FM aerial may do the trick. If so can I just split at the tuner, or is a diplexer required. If I need one - which one ?

Keep your current FM aerial. Add a DAB aerial and an FM/DAB masthead combiner. The combined signal goes down one wire. Then fit a diplex plate to breakout FM and DAB separately.

Thank you Lucid for your prompt reply.
I will follow your advice. There was just no way I was going to get another lead in there.

Thank you Sam, I take it that's what is used for satellite installations, i.e. the best I can get.

Sureitsoff? - That's a fantastic web site. I could learn a lot there. I shall be reading as much as possible, and will no doubt order all I need from them.
