Hey everyone, I'm in need of some advice or assistance here. I decided to clean some sticky parts inside my fully functional PS4 controller, but during the process of disconnecting the battery from the motherboard, I ended up tearing a small connector. I've attached pictures below for a clearer view.

Previously, the controller was working perfectly fine; it just needed a good cleaning. Now, I'm wondering if I've broken it beyond repair or if there's still hope. If I were to do some soldering and reattach the connector to the motherboard, is there a chance it could work again?

I'm contemplating whether it's worth trying to fix it or if I should just go ahead and buy a new one (they're relatively inexpensive). Your insights and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

Fiddly but probably yes, you'd have to have a trailing replacement connector or battery leads bodged directly onto the board, it's also possible you've damaged one of the vias.
You'd have to very carefully clean and then epoxy down the bits of copper trace that have lifted, remove some of the lacquer to provide some copper pads to solder the leads to then clean and flux and solder to the board.

If it sounds a bit too fiddly this is the kind of job that a high street phone repair shop might have a bash at as some of them do usb connector repairs and the like.

And you might also have to bridge the gap with bodge wires as well as those are possibly the only connection, might have to give it a prod with multimeter
