hi,
question, regarding cavity wall and damp

our house was done for damp cure but we have a cavity wall, i noticed that they drill only 3 inches, today someone came to check re results and they told me that more holes need to be drilled. i also noticed that holes are to spaced is more then 120 mm

my question is it recommended to drill trough cavity wall to reach the second wall ? to use damp cream or damp rods ?

OP,
It would help if you posted pics showing the outside & the drill holes - & Pics of the inside damp?
Its certainly possible to drill across the cavity to the inside wall (the second wall)- but for what purpose?
I dont know if rods are better than cream.

sorry for late replay here are some pictures, same spacing over the entire wall

On the exterior photo, Is the bottom grey layer, a coating of render scribed with a block pattern, over brickwork?

from what my wife told me, that is paint, above is pebble render
Fair enough - but it strikes me as odd that a decorative string course wouldn't top a brick lower wall.
What do other houses in your neighborhood look like?

If it were render, that may be where some of the damp issues are coming from.
Did the recommendation for drilling and injection, come from an independent damp surveyor?
