Hi,
I have issues with damp and water which is coming into wall under top bedroom window.
When i bought the house I had roofers do some other work and they all said roof ok around chimmney however I am now unconvinced.
It appears water is running down roof then off chimmey flashing down side of the chimney into wall.
Previous owner had sealed where render met chimmey with mastic sealer which is now cracked and has also cut a hole in the side strip he had sealed against side of tiles.
I think this is all wrong and wonder if I hired a cherry picker if I could check and then slope flashing away from side of house to the inside of the roof so that the water no longer runs out down side of house.
Would this be right as I am unsure.
I have attached photos if it helps.
Once I have finance I do intend to get a new roof so even a short term solution would help.

Nice slate.... Not so nice slating and verge ..
I'd reuse them .
Your question -
The lead back gutter ideally needed to be formed to run away from the verge . It can probably still be tweaked without to much drama
