Wondering if anyone can give advice. Brought a new house 1920s so no cavity what so ever. Red brick with cement on top. Having such trouble with humidity levels in the upstairs. We have put 2 bedrooms on the side of house and opened it up. We have put a completely new roof on made sure we got the most breathable felt there was but still the humidity levels upstairs are above 70. All bedding feeling damp all the time and clothing. We had a PIV installed which helped slightly but not a lot. Any advice would be great how I can get rid of this issue.

Do you drape wet washing inside the house?

Houses do not create water.
In UK homes the most common source of damp, condensation and mould is wet washing draped indoors or over radiators
Followed by steamy showers without effective bathroom extractors
Don't be offended when people ask you when you open your windows.
Less common are building defects such as spilling gutters, leaking pipes and defective roofs.
Show us some pics of your damp patches. Show the entire wall, top the bottom, including the roof and the ground.
Photograph the bottom of your walls. Identify the original slate DPC and, if it not easily visible in the photos, mark it with a chalk line.
Go into your loft and photograph the eaves. There should be a gap you can see daylight through.
