Damp on outside brick wall, please see photo

Hi everyone, any thoughts as to what could cause this, we have had loads of rain recently and it looks like it's got into the wall?

As you can see there is a damp patch in the lower left corner of the upstairs front window

I think your window cill is somehow letting water in then letting it escape slowly.
