Damp or mould?

Hi all

I think the attached pictures show just basic mould rather than damp. Am I right?

if so, is it just a case of mopping up the excess water that collects around the window, and keeping the window ajar slightly?

4 hours per day using the dehumidifyer doesn't seem to do the trick (according to tenants)

Many thanks

Is there an extractor in the bathroom? Do they use it?
Ditto kitchen.
How do they dry clothes?

basic mould rather than damp

The mould spotting is a symptom of dampness, so you should be trying to identify the cause and whether it's related to the property and your responsibility, or to the use of the property and your tenant's responsibility. Just from those images it could be argued either way.

Thanks for the replies.

The pictures are taken in the first-floor bedroom.

There is no extractor in the bathroom.
There is an extractor hood in the kitchen.
Clothing is dried in the living room on a rack.

Fit an extractor in the bathroom. Make it a good one.
Consider fitting an extending over-bath clothes line.

Thank you, I'll give it a bash and see how it goes
