Our garage was converted into a kid's play room. On the outside wall there are spots of damp beginning to appear on 1 or 2 bricks just below the DPC. There's no visible leaks coming from the gutter and I don't think water is running down the wall. At a guess, it's rising from the ground (the front drive was done in the last year, so I'm wondering if that's impacting on it).

There's no signs of damp on the inside of the property, although it's hard to tell as we have wooden flooring and I only really want to pick it up if absolutely necessary.

In the picture below, the brick just below the charging point is most affected.

Any advice on how I can investigate or remediate this?

Thanks

It looks like it's coming from above rather than below, as the lower bricks are dry.

My best guess it's it the dew forming on the cold charger in the mornings, running down the cable and dripping off at that bottom corner where it gets a bit lower so can't continue tracking along it.

You could try gently levering the cable slightly away from the wall to see if the issue goes away. If so you know what it is and don't really need to care about it.

You could add a plastic cable tie to it, with the end pointing downwards, to encourage it to drip from that rather than onto the wall.
