Damp Patch above window

Hi everyone, it's our first winter in our new house and I've noticed the plaster above one of our windows is completely soaked. It hasn't rained in 4 days and the rest of the plaster has dried.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

Well water doesn't run uphill so as it's showing up above the window I'd suspect blocked gutter (moss/leaves) or roof felt rotten along the bottom where it would drape into the gutter, those would be the first things I'd check

Thanks so much, I'll have a look at that in the coming days, it'd be some surprise if it were that as the house was only built this year but you never know
