I've had a problem with a small amount of damp(1980's detatched bungalow)it's just above the skirting...about ½" high for about a foot, there used to be an old gas fire in the same spot so that section of wall was previously hidden.
I've done some digging(literally) and removed the internal blockwork in that area and found some damage to the damp course at the base of the internal wall...l guess it's pretty obvious but would this be enough to make the wall damp?..any suggestions how best to rectify it?
Thanks in advance.
