Evening all,

ive got quite a big problem with a large, 6'x3' area of wet plasterboard on the otherside of the shower room. My protimeter picks up very high levels of damp and its black marked.

Now, obviously water is getting behind the tiles, so do i need to hack off all the tiles, hack out the damaged plasterboard and re-board then re-tile?

help appreciated ;)

You've got the idea right so you'll either have to tank the new plasterboard or use Aquapanel. I personally prefer the latter.

If you want a permanent job, don’t just repair the damaged area, most likely it’ll all be gone; rip out all the PB in the shower ara & start again; tank it out or use Aquapanel as suggested. If you don’t, you may well find yourself doing the same thing again in the not too distant future.
