I have a victorian terraced house with a quarry tile floor in the dining room. I intend to lay laminate over the top of these but I am sure that I will require some form of DPM.

I was intending to lay laminate soundproofing/dpm underlay but I am worried that any moisture will become trapped under this and appear elsewhere! The walls will have been injected with dmp cream and wondered if there was any way of joining these two dpc's Or is this whole plan just plain stupid?

really really don't want to dig out the floor, also I have removed 1 or 2 tiles and they are layed directly onto ash/soil with no existing DPM.

Any advice appriciated.

Thanks
