I have a problem with damp in top left hand side of upvc windows. Had an installer to seal around windiw but still have the problem. Photos taken from outside revealed that pointing between brick work and lintel just above the window was perished so has been replaced. Still no change in dampness. It was suggested it could be the roof felt leaking and sending water down cavity until it reaches the lintel but wouldn't the cavity tray take care of this?. Windows have been fitted 10 years and this is only a recent problem. Wondered if any body had any ideas what the problem might be. Have included pictures.

Doesn't appear to be but this window has been installed for ten years without a problem. Could that be what's needed?

Possibly, it could be that a leak above is now causing the issue, which wouldn't be apparent if the tray could drain.

Can be difficult to track down water like this though, as once it's in it can track around places before appearing inside.

Roof felt sounds like a good investigative action.
