Hi, I've got some dodgy paintwork on the inside and possible outside of an outside wall. On the outside is an Air Source Heat pump which might be causing the problem to come through?
Thanks for any help/suggestions of what to do with it.

Image 2- a photo of above might help.

It, currently, looks like it may be gutter related. Hard to tell without photos.

The mould colouring is less obvious, as it nears the ASHP pipes, so I would suggest they are not to blame, rather they are keeping it at bay. You need to look towards a source higher than your photo shows.

Hope this shows it ok. I only realised the soffit was hanging down when taking the original photos.
But I don't see how the problem can be coming from above because the problem damp is on the inside wall below the windowsill?
Thanks

There must be an issue with water running down the outside wall for it to leave those marks and damage the soffit.

Maybe the gutters are overflowing?

I would start looking from the top.

The water could be running down the outside leaf and be transferred to the inside via snots in the bottom of the cavity.

I've got a similar issue.
