Dampers for toy boxes

I've been looking for some time for a damper type piece of kit to slow down the lid closing on a toy box so that little fingers do not get trapped.

Does anyone know where I can get these?

I don't want the sliding catches/stays as these can trap fingers too.

What about kitchen door buffers like These they are fairly small so wouldnt save adult fingers but may slow down the lid enough for childs.

could you not make or convert the top into two sliding doors with finger holes for opening!!!!!

you could either make them fully contained so only one half opens at a time
or have a runner full length both sides with a small lip each end
then you only have to lift over the lip and slide off

or indeed you can have a single sliding door full or part length

Isaac Lord make one just for toyboxes / blanket boxes. part no 1511450 its is like a gas strut but comes with suitable brackets for fixing to your box
