Hi All,

After some advice if I may. My existing Danfoss FP975 controller has died again (second one in 4 years to die). So decided time to move to something a bit more intelligent and have purchased the Hive Active.

It is a 2 channel system with a Danfoss remote thermostat.

Wiring of the current controller is as below:

Danfoss FP975 Controller.jpg

and the thermostat is:

Danfoss Thermostat.jpg

From what I understand I need to do the following to transfer the wiring to the hive backplate

Both Earth wires transfer to the earth tether
The N (Neutral) connections transfer to N
The L (Live) wire which does not just feed 2 transfers to L
The 1 wire goes to 3
The 2 wires do not transfer
The 3 wire goes to 1
The 4 wire does not transfer as its the switch live from the old thermostat
The 5 wire goes to 4

Is that correct? Really not sure about wire 2 (Is that the power to the thermostat)

Once I have done that I should then just be able to remove the old thermostat I believe.

Thanks for any help, hoping to do the swap this weekend.

OK, an update in case it is useful to anyone else with the same system.

Once you start labelling up and removing wires it becomes quite clear which are just trigger wires from the thermostat.

Wiring ends up being:

Both Earth wires transfer to the Hive Earth tether
The Danfoss N (Neutral) connections transfer to Hive N
The Danfoss L (Live) wire which does not just feed Danfoss 2 transfers to Hive L
The Danfoss 1 wire goes to Hive 3
The Danfoss 2 wires do not transfer
The Danfoss 3 wire goes to Hive 1
The Danfoss 4 wire goes to Hive 4
The Danfoss5 wire does not transfer as it only went to Dabfoss 2
