Hi all,

I have a danfoss tp9000ma-si and I'm looking to wire in the heatlink. I'm a complete novice here and need help lining up the wires where possible please. I'm assuming the N and L are like for like switches? But I'm unsure of the rest...or if I'm even correct there!

Thanks in advance

It appears there are no wires connected to terminals 1 and 2 on the TP9000?

In which case.
N to N on the Heat Link
L to L
Brown in terminal 3 to terminal 6 (call for HW) on HL
Black in terminal 4 to terminal 3 (call for Heat) on HL

You will also need to use link wires to join L to terminals 2 and 5 (the commons) of the HL

This may be a bit difficult.
Currently, you have 3 Live wire in L on the TP9000 and to make the connection on the Heat Link, to the Commons, will require another wire.
The terminals on the HL are already small; for ease of installation, you may have to make the live connections in a separate terminal block (or Wagos) within the backbox.

Can you confirm what (stat) you have connected to terminals 5 and 6 of the TP9000?

If you want the Nest to mount in place of the existing stat, it may be possible to reuse these wires, and connect them to T1 and T2 on the HL.
However, if you do wish do this, the Nest should have an earth connection to its earth terminal. It appears your earth's are connected to the back box, so a link from there will be needed.

I hope that makes sense, this isn't the most straightforward of jobs, given the number of wires you have, and the small size of the Heat Link terminals.

Hi,

Thanks for your response I wouldn't even know where to begin with adding another wire, so will probably need professional help.

We have a small temperature sensor in the hall which may be 5 and 6, I was going to mount the thermostat there. Only had 2 wires.

I was hoping it would be an unscrew, move wire X to Y and then job done
