Hello,

I am preparing to disconnect a Paragon super II alarm system. I don't have the master codes so the plan is to disconnect the mains and remove the battery. I can also cut the wires to the sounders.

The first problem is to get the panel open. It's in a tight space and all I can see is a hole (picture attached). I can see from a picture in another post here that there is a screw of some description. What sort of screwdriver or key do I need?

Obviously without the codes it may get noisy so I want to be prepared.

Thanks.

Screw is missing , just prise the front off from the top , and have ladders ready

Thanks, that explains it. I;m going to get the master code of the company that installed it (they want to charge £350 to come and type it in for me) if not I have wire cutters ready for anything that makes a noise, but once the mains and battery are disconnected it should be quiet.

I can just about reach it. The alarm has been in for over 20 years and was maintained. The battery in the panel has been changed but no one has gone near the bellbox. Do you think it has a battery in it?

Think that’s an amourgard bellbox ? Not very common or it could be a metal flash guard ….cant comment but it would have had a battery in on install …

I'll consider how I'm going to handle that then.

Thanks for your advice, really helpful.
