Dead Lawn

Over the winter where the gritter turned round it managed to spray a patch on my front lawn with its rocksalt etc.This in now dead grass as I dont think lawns like salt, my question is do I dig it out if so how far down and fill with new topsoil and re seed, or is there something I can mix with the existing soil to neutralise the salt.
What are the best options

I would think best to lift same turfs from an unaffected part of the lawn, lay this where the damage has been done and resow the area lifted...pinenot
