Debris in system

Hi everyone

I have reason to believe that there is a lot of debris in my friend's hot water cylinder and feed and expansion cistern in the loft. The water pressure is very low all over the house upstairs and downstairs and even the pumped shower struggles to push the water out. they had some work done to their roof a few years ago and debris got into the system due to no lid on the cistern. They had black debris coming from the taps for some time which has now stopped.

Obviously need to flush the system out in some way removing taps and cleaning the filters in the shower pump.

I was wondering if anyone had come across this and if they could offer any further advice.

I would try back filling the cold feed pipe work off the hot water cylinder under mains pressure. Could just be a blockage in the fill between cold fill tank in loft and cylinder
