I had a basic toolstation/screwfix foam gun for years and it was great, then since I chucked that one, I've got through about 3 as they get blocked up in no time. I thought they were supposed to last ages with the screw tight and a part used can?
Any suggestions of a decent one that won't block? I don't get through that many cans.

We always use the Soudal comfort grip with the snap-off plugger....

I also have a nozzle un-blocker....
The best product out there for infrequent useage.

Isn’t that harder to control than a gun noseall? Ie to get really small amounts out etc for narrow gaps.
JD, I’ve had one for a few years I got from eurocell, about 15 quid. I have to dig the nozzle out with a screwdriver every now and then but it doesn’t block up inside, I always leave it on the half empty can.

Does that give the proper control over the delivery rate? I tried the basic disposables originally and had to give up on those due to the mess

Are you keeping the gun with can uppermost with flow adjuster lightly tightened while in storage, Ive never had a clogged gun in the time i've been using one when stored this way... its only a 5quid one from BQ too.

Oh interesting, i always keep the gun uppermost and the can standing up. Maybe that's the issue! How do you keep the can on top as it doesn't really stand up on that side?

I lean it against a wall or vertical surface, I once misplaced it for quite a few months with hardly anything in it and thought that was that but it was still ok as it was stored right.
Good job My OH knows how to put it if she sides things away:)2B95A61C-6024-41B0-A36B-38239F5BFDA1.jpeg

The geocel one sold in wickes is cheap and good quality. Easy to clean and all metal in all the right places.

Fischer one is £13 and seems fine if you remember to put it the right way up between uses.

So that the gas is uppermost and rises into the gun.

So standing on the can, with the gun at the top, like the instructions say. (Yes, I just checked)

Not on its side either.

At that price (or the £5 one) keep a spare gun handy. It's probably cheaper than using gun cleaner.

I appreciate the instructions say to store with gun uppermost and thats what I did when first having a gun, however the damn thing blocked .
Not one to rest on my laurels I thought to experiment tother way ,despite extended periods of storage I can honestly say it has not blocked since and thats using all types of foam:)
