Decking / Balcony

I am planning a balcony 6M x 4M and 2M above the ground. It will be attached to the house so will have strong support for its 6M length. What size posts should I use and at what gaps? I have seen similar balconies at a pub with 100mm x 100mm posts, I was surprised that was OK. Also what size joists should I plan on? Do they need to be based on the building regs table i.e. dependent on span size or as the balcony will have far less furniture can they be reduced sizes?
